Books for Babes
It’s never too early to start your child on the path to literacy and a lifelong love of reading. To get you off on the right foot, the Library is pleased to offer Books for Babes to the families of newborns.
Contact: Mary Rindfleisch, Assistant Director, 203-438-2282 x1009 mfrind@ridgefieldlibrary.org
Parents of newborns (up to 12 months old) may contact the Library and receive a special packet of goodies for themselves and their child, including a board book, a Ridgefield Library tote bag and other materials.
Books for Babes was developed by the Friends of the Library and members of the “Younger Set” community outreach committee, to welcome newborns and their families to the Ridgefield Library.
If you are out and about, come into the Library and pick up your bag in Children’s Services. We’d love to show you and your little one around.
We know having a new baby can make life hectic and schedules crazy. If you prefer, one of our Community Outreach volunteers will leave a bag at your front door.
Congratulations from the Ridgefield Library!
Katherine Ann Pratt and mother Margaret receive their Books for Babes gift from Tizzie Mantione of the Library’s Community Outreach Committee
