Book Club Corner

In addition to the many book discussion groups we offer at the Library we can also help you run your own book club. So whether you need advice about finding a suitable title for your next meeting, or you are wondering how to get multiple copies, or simply looking for resources and suggestions on how to prepare and run a successful discussion, we are here to help.  Check below to find answers to all your book club questions.

Selecting Your Book

Our staff is always happy to help you choose the perfect title for your book discussion.  Drop by, call, or e-mail Dorothy Pawlowski, Adult Services Librarian, 203-438-2282 x1003 dlpawl@ridgefieldlibrary.org for suggestions.

Getting Multiple Copies

The Ridgefield Library offers sets of 10 copies of popular book discussion titles that can be reserved by local book groups. Your group can also sponsor a title by purchasing multiple copies of the book at a discount and then being first on the list to borrow them.

Multiple copies of a book may also be available through Interlibrary Loan.

  • Please allow a minimum of three weeks to obtain books from other libraries.
  • Bestsellers and books published within the last year are not available through interlibrary loan.

To order multiple copies contact:
Karen Kazzi, Inter-Library Loan, at 203-438-2282 x1011kkazzi@ridgefieldlibrary.org.

If you prefer to purchase your own copies you can register your book club at Books on the Common and each member will receive a 15% discount on upcoming book selections.
