November 12 @ 7:00 PM:  New York poet, activist and Baldwin scholar, JP Howard, will lecture and lead a discussion of James Baldwin’s The Fire Next Time. Please register.

JP Howard is a poet, educator, literary activist, curator and community builder. Her debut poetry collection, SAY/MIRROR, was a Lambda Literary finalist. She is also the author of bury your love poems here (Belladonna*) and co-edited Sinister Wisdom Journal Black Lesbians–We Are the Revolution!  Her poetry is widely anthologized. JP has facilitated community discussions, writing workshops and lectures on James Baldwin for Brooklyn Public Library, Brooklyn Community Pride Center, The Hobart Festival of Women Writers, and in collaboration with Apogee Journal and New York Writers Coalition’s Writing Resistance Series.
