Games & Puzzles
The Ridgefield Library offers a selection of tabletop games and puzzles for patrons of all ages. From children’s games like Candyland and Hedbandz to hours-long strategy games likes Pandemic and Risk to party games of all ages, we have a great collection that will continue to grow. Patrons can check out board games and puzzles at the Circulation Desk for seven days with two renewals.
Kill A Watt Meters
Thanks to the Ridgefield Action Committee for the Environment (RACE), a number of Kill A Watt electricity usage monitoring devices are available for loan. Borrow one today and discover the costs—to your pocketbook and to the planet—of keeping that rarely used old freezer running or leaving electronic gear on 24/7. Kill A Watt devices may be borrowed for two weeks, with one renewal. Fines are 10¢ per day. Ask about Kill A Watt devices at the Circulation Desk.
Kindle Fires for Kids
The Ridgefield Library is pleased to bring you six Kindle Fires for Kids! Each Kindle is loaded with the Amazon Free Time app, giving access to thousands of apps, games, videos, and more. The Kindle tablets are available to our patrons from the Lodewick Children’s Library information desk. There are four Kindle Fires in the Children’s Library available for in-house use, and two that can be checked out and brought home!
The Ridgefield Library offers a variety of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) Kits for patrons to take home and explore these topics. Some of our more popular kits include: Dash & Dot Robots, Domino (Rube Goldberg) Kit, Cursive Writing Kit, Learn to Play the Ukulele, Osmo Kit, Counting Cars, and Fort Building Kit.
Kits rotate occasionally, so check with the Library to see what is currently available.
