Run Like A Mother

Happening every year on Mother’s Day, this road race takes place on May 12, 2019, and includes a women-only 5K, a kids one-mile race, and post race party for the entire family. Run Like a Mother runs through Ridgefield with family members cheering their athletes on as the final mile heads down Main Street before turning into Ballard Park for a post-run celebration.

5K finishers will receive a commemorative medal and technical tee shirt. Proceeds from the race benefit the Noreen L Papa “Mothers:Live Your Life” Fund at the Ridgefield Library. Noreen Papa was an integral part of Run Like a Mother for many years, who passed away in 2013 from cancer. Programming focuses on health and wellness for the community. (Ridgefield Press 12/31/2018)
