A250: Tabling the Declaration

Thursday, May 21 @ 6:30 pm:  Join us for a unique A250 Community Conversation as we gather at tables, enjoy food and drink of the Revolutionary Era, and discuss and draft our own “modern” version of the Declaration of Independence. We’ll learn about tavern culture and its importance in hammering out the roadmap to democracy.

Our facilitator for Tabling the Declaration is Ramin Ganeshram, Executive Director of the Westport Historical Society, food journalist and author of The General’s Cook: A Novel (photo credit: Jerri Graham).

A250 Community Conversations are presented in partnership with Keeler Tavern Museum & History Center. Tabling the Declaration builds on themes discussed in the A250 Community Conversations held in September and December 2025 and March 2026, but attendance at prior programs is not required to enjoy this special presentation.

This A250 Scholarly Series program is supported by the Friends of the Ridgefield Library.  Additional promotional support provided by Ridgefield Commemorates America at 250.
